“Peelers” gets World Premiere at Palm Beach International Film Festival April 6-14th by Gregmo Roberts

Peanut butter and jelly.  Titties and beer.  Strippers and horror movies.  Some things are just meant to be together.

Case in point – Peelers.  Peelers is the new film by Director/Producer Sevé Schelenz that gets its World Premiere at the Palm Beach International Film Festival in Florida April 6-14th.

According to the official press release, Peelers has the following synopsis, “What starts out as the last hurrah on the closing night of an infamous small-town strip club, quickly turns into a night of bloodshed when a crew of coal miners shows up and with them a deadly contaminant.  Former baseball player and current club owner, Blue Jean Douglas has decided to hand over her bar to a new owner and leave town for good. But Blue Jean’s plans are thwarted when she discovers the magnitude of the epidemic that has been unleashed. With victims piling up, Blue Jean must step up to the plate to protect her family, her friends, and her bar before it’s too late and she loses everything she holds dear.

Peelers comes to us courtesy of the geniuses behind 2011’s Skew which had a successful festival run and was well received by critics and genre fans alike.   And the trailer for Peelers looks to be a gas.  Hot chicks, unnecessary violence and buckets of blood ooze from the 45-second teaser and left us with a pool of drool seeping between the letters of our keyboard.

Peelers easily becomes one of the films to search for and add to the calendar when it screens in your area.
